LST Marketing Acquires Dallas-based PPI Marketing

INDIANAPOLIS (June 13, 2017) – LST Marketing, LLC continues its growth through the acquisition of Dallas, Texas-based PPI Marketing, co-founded by Heisman Trophy winner and Pro Football Hall of Famer Roger Staubach, along with longtime business associate Roz Cole. The expanding business and Dallas operation will be rebranded as LST Marketing.

PPI Marketing cultivated a rich and extensive 24-year sports marketing history since its inception in 1993. Both Staubach and Cole will remain business partners in LST Marketing, with Cole serving in an advisory role to the company’s executives. Mark Winneker, former president of PPI Marketing, will also stay on as managing director of LST Marketing’s Dallas office.

LST Marketing focuses on the business goals of its clients through its expertise in strategic consulting, experiential activations, live event production, sponsorship strategy, sports and entertainment platforms, communications and celebrity talent integration – a new vertical by way of the PPI acquisition.

Event: eBash, an Indiana-based LAN game center that hosts video game events and tournaments, will be hosting two major tournaments with cash prizes at the 2017 Indy PopCon event – one of the Midwest’s largest fan conventions.

The Grand Games is what crossfit in the Midwest has been missing. This major crossfit competition will be held on Saturday, August 26 at the indoor 370,000 square-foot Grand Park Events Center in Westfield, Ind.

Competition will feature:

  • RX, Masters and Scaled divisions all under one roof
  • One-day competition with select unique workouts that you can’t do at a local box competition
  • Cash prizes for RX division
  • Unique events for Scaled and Masters divisions

The Events Center features three full-size synthetic turf fields, perfect for year-round training out of the elements. The complex also includes dining and entertainment venues, as well as a full-service bar – all geared toward supporting and enhancing the athletes entertainment atmosphere and experience.

Spectators can view The Grand Games from the mezzanines or second floor bar overlooking the arena. This will provide an experience like no other competition can – forget sweating in the hot sun for hours, as all the action will be going on indoors.

Spectators can attend the event for just $5 when you buy a ticket ahead of the event, and $10 at the door. The athlete entry fee is $75 each, including a competitor T-shirt, and the competition will be done in teams of two. A VIP ticket, which includes heavy appetizers and two drink tickets in a private area with reserved grandstand seating, is $50.

Event: Grand Park Running Series – monthly running events

A new affordable, family-friendly community event is coming to Grand Park. The Grand Park Running Series is for runners of all ages and skill sets who have a goal of competing in local or national 5Ks, half marathons and even marathons.

The Series will be held rain or shine on the first Sunday of each month with the inaugural event – Summer Daze Dash – kicking off on Sunday, August 6. The race courses consist of different loops throughout the beautiful Grand Park campus in Westfield, Ind., with the courses varying month to month. Each distance will be marked to make it easy and convenient for runners to follow.

The Series is also teaming up with the non-profit program Girls on the Run, which encourages pre-teen girls to develop healthy lifestyle habits. The Central Indiana chapter will receive a portion of the profits from each running registrant, plus there will be an option to donate additional money on the Eventbrite sign-up page.

Zirkle Joins LST Marketing as Chief Operating Officer

Grand Park Events Center To Celebrate Grand Opening July 21-23

WESTFIELD, Ind. (July 11, 2016) – Central Indiana residents are encouraged to join in the celebration of the opening of Grand Park Events Center, the 370,000 square-foot indoor field sports and events facility in Westfield, during a special three-day event filled with family fun Thursday, July 21 through Saturday, July 23.

The celebration will include an indoor festival at the Grand Park Events Center featuring food, carnival games, inflatables, movie nights, vendors and more.

“We’re excited to invite the community to celebrate the opening of this new indoor facility,” Westfield Mayor Andy Cook said. “This festival will help showcase the variety of uses that the Grand Park Events Center is capable of hosting.”

Movies on the Turf, double-feature, family-friendly movie nights, will take place Thursday and Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m. on the east indoor field. “Wreck It Ralph” (PG) and “The Sandlot” (PG) will be shown Thursday, while “Tangled” (PG) and “Kicking & Screaming” (PG) will be screened Friday night. Tickets for each night will be available at the door for $5 per person.

Inflate A Fest, which features interactive inflatables, bounce houses, carnival games and more, will run from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. An all-you-can-jump wristband is available for $10 per person, while tickets for the interactive inflatables and games will be available for $1 each.

A unique ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Friday on the front lawn of the Grand Park Events Center. Sandra Wood, the former owner of the farmland upon which Grand Park’s campus was built, will sing the national anthem. Media is invited to attend this special event, which includes an airplane flyover with two World War II T-6 airplanes from the Warbird Training Center in Kokomo. Following the ceremony, the Indiana Fire Juniors Boys & Girls U13 soccer teams will christen the Grand Park Events Center by playing the first games on the center field Friday night.

The third annual A Grand Run 5K Run/Walk will kick off Saturday’s festivities at 7:30 a.m. The start and finish line will be located inside the Grand Park Events Center, with the course taking advantage of the park’s extensive trail system. Race fees are $25 for adults and $15 for children, which includes a T-shirt. Post-race activities will include music, refreshments and access to the indoor festival. The Mayor’s Yellow Tie Ball Gala Event will be the finale of the Opening Celebration on Saturday evening. Proceeds from the Opening Celebration and Mayor’s Yellow Tie Ball will benefit the Hamilton County Youth Assistance Program (YAP), which was developed in the fall of 2009 as a pilot program in Westfield. It since has grown to incorporate all of Hamilton County, including programs in Carmel, Hamilton Heights, Fishers, Noblesville and Sheridan. In a desire to be proactive in assisting the healthy development of Hamilton County youth and their families, the program offers counseling for youth and families, youth anger management classes, parenting classes, food and clothing assistance and more. 

“One of the children I work with was able to attend summer camp for the first time through the Youth Assistance Program,” said Mary Ann Haymaker, an early intervention advocate in Hamilton County. “I was able to meet with her after camp, and she was full of smiles and stories. There is definitely a light in her eyes now that I haven’t seen before, thanks to YAP.”

“Our two grandchildren were in a rough place before YAP,” Donna Bretzman said. “With their help, our grandchildren were able to get involved in karate and summer camps. They’ve really come out of their shells now. I can’t say enough positive things about the program, and I’m so thrilled to hear the proceeds from this celebration will be going to such a worthy organization.”

In Shackelford’s new role, she will be responsible for planning and implementing all sales and marketing initiatives for LST Marketing, in addition to developing customized programs for prospective clients and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

LST Marketing Appoints Juergen Sommer to Lead Field Sports Expansion

INDIANAPOLIS (May 3, 2016) – LST Marketing recently hired U.S. Soccer Men’s National Team veteran and former Indiana University standout Juergen Sommer as Executive Director of Field Sports, leading the company’s expanding business in ventures such as facility management and international soccer.

Sommer has more than 15 years of experience in professional sports, both in the United States and internationally. He played professional soccer for 15 years as a goalkeeper in the English Premier League and Major League Soccer after a distinguished collegiate career at Indiana from 1987-91. He also was a member of the U.S. Men’s National Team at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.

“I’m ecstatic about this opportunity with LST Marketing,” Sommer said. “I’m looking forward to working with the energetic staff and using my experience and contacts to expand the company’s footprint into field sports and other ventures.”

After his playing career ended, Sommer began a business career that included stints at McDonald’s Corp., Johnson & Johnson and Cassidy Turley, a full-service commercial real estate firm in Indianapolis. He also worked in sports as the head coach and director of soccer operations for Indy Eleven, a professional team based in Indianapolis. Sommer also is an active member of the youth soccer community in Indianapolis.

Last week, Jonathan Byrd’s Event & Entertainment, LLC announced it entered a multi-year partnership with the City of Westfield, Indiana, to manage the commercial business and marketing of the Grand Park Events Center, set to open in July 2016.

Sommer will lead the Grand Park initiative and expand LST Marketing’s business in multiple field sports, including soccer and developmental youth athletics, by serving as the Executive Director of the Grand Park Events Center, as well as Executive Director of Field Sports for both LST Marketing and Jonathan Byrd’s Event & Entertainment.

Joining Sommer in the new Jonathan Byrd’s Event & Entertainment offices in Westfield is LST Marketing’s TJ Land, who was promoted to Director of Marketing Services of Grand Park Events Center. Sommer and Land will focus on the rapid growth of both youth and professional soccer in North America, as well as the commercial operations of the Grand Park Events Center.

Jonathan Byrd’s Event & Entertainment Establishes Partnership with Grand Park

Company to manage commercial business, marketing of  Grand Park Events Center

WESTFIELD, Ind. (April 26, 2016) – Jonathan Byrd’s Event & Entertainment, LLC today announced it entered a multi-year partnership with the City of Westfield, Indiana, to manage the commercial business and marketing of the Grand Park Events Center, set to open in July 2016.

Jonathan Byrd’s Event & Entertainment will manage all aspects of the Grand Park Events Center business, including event scheduling, sponsorship coordination, consumer marketing, special event production, communications, activation logistics, account services and vendor procurement.

Grand Park Events Center is one of the centerpieces of the 400-acre Grand Park Sports Campus, located just 20 miles north of downtown Indianapolis. The facility will feature three full-sized indoor soccer fields, a restaurant and administrative offices. It also includes multi-use space for trade shows, live entertainment, conventions and special event programming, including large indoor sports events in the massive, 370,000 square-foot facility.

The City of Westfield will continue to have a large role in the overall strategy for the Grand Park Events Center.

Grand Park Sports Campus

Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, is a destination like no other.
