Creative Director

Description: The Creative Director is a creative leadership position within LST Marketing’s Creative Services team, with the responsibility to oversee, develop and execute client brand direction through internal and external opportunities. This person must be a dynamic creative leader and team player, with strong design and project management skill and a breadth of experience in brand development and execution, including in business development/sales materials.

 Duties:

  • Responsible for the oversight and development of the creative direction of the LST Marketing’s clients, from idea creation through creative implementation; elements will include business development/sales, website, digital, social, content, product, entertainment and hospitality related materials
  • Project manage creative programs with internal creatives, freelance or other vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver timely and excellent implementation
  • Provide creative design oversight as well as build materials
  • Work cohesively with the business development team to create the most impactful, modern and innovative sales materials
  • Manage key client pitches, including support in material development such as decks, creative layouts, video, etc.
  • Provide recaps and other creative showcases of the work throughout the organization
  • Develop and oversee corporate brand identity and brand refreshes, through various channels
  • Ensure ongoing innovation, with strong understanding of tech and digital
  • Ensure succinct comprehension of work to the brief, provide and oversee storytelling, deliver best-in-class brainstorm techniques
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative culture including by inputting on processes, developing career plans, fostering and finding talent
  • Identify efficiency opportunities within design process and cross-functional workflow
  • Present creative ideas and designs, internally and externally
  • Maintain a collaborative art, design and creative culture that engages talent and maximizes team potential
  • Provide quality assurance of all deliverables

General:

  • Brand building and execution experience required
  • Experience in sports, entertainment and lifestyle work; agency experience a plus
  • Experienced and powerful presenter, and ability to work with variety of talent
  • Skilled at multi-tasking, with very strong project management and modern design skills

  • Strong, succinct storyteller with the ability to articulate ideas from ideation through concept development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design or equivalent training and/or experience
  • 10 – 15 years of relevant brand/creative experience (creating campaigns, digital products, websites, mobile, etc., including design experience)
  • Relevant experience working within an advertising or marketing agency
  • Experience in developing business development/sales materials as well as presenting
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML and Power Point/Keynote
  • Understands full creative and production processes for both print and digital execution
  • Copywriting experience a strong plus
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to take ideas from concept to creative to final execution with ease
  • Proficient at visual communication; translating business goals into creative designs
  • Experience creating impactful employee communications
  • Exceptional skills in design, typography, grids and branding
  • Ability to articulate creative strategy, present ideas and explain rationale
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
  • Has a “can do” attitude and is willing to work late
  • Possess a passion for great design, creativity and innovation
